Our commitment to sustainability

As general director of NIBE, Dr. Mantijn van Leeuwen is committed to making construction more sustainable and has a number of prominent ancillary positions.

  • Chairman of the action team 'measuring circularity' of platform CB'23.
  • Chairman of the Technical Committee and member of the INSIDE/INSIDE steering committee.
  • Member of the Advisory Group New Building and Renovation Foundation Dutch Green Building
  • Council (DGBC) the schematic manager of the BREEAM-NL New Building and Renovation.
  • Member Advisory Board Probos, the organization dedicated to sustainable forest management in the Netherlands and abroad.

In addition to being a senior consultant at NIBE, Birgit Dulski has been employed by the Center for Entrepreneurship and Stewardship (CES) at Nyenrode Business University as a senior researcher in sustainable building since April 2008 and is involved in prominent sustainability projects. In addition, Birgit is 

  • involved in the 'Sustainable Heritage Route Map' of the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands;
  • co-initiator of the learning network Code49 | Cultural Entrepreneurship in Sustainable Heritage;
  • as a guest lecturer connected to the course LIER (course Innovative and Energy-saving Restoration) of the Gelderland Restoration Centre and the Arnhem Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences;
  • since 2016 member of the board of the Cultuurfonds Culemborg;

In addition to substantive knowledge, Gert Jan van Beijnum also has years of experience with environmental databases for building materials. Gert Jan is a member of the data committee for the B&U of the Nationale Milieudatabase.
